Handyman Program

Aging in Place volunteers and Greely students will do minor chores, yard work, shoveling of walkways, and other handyman assignments that don’t require licenses (e.g. plumbing, electrical work). FMI, to register, or to add your name to the handyman list, please call the AIP line at 245-8033.

Shoveling for Seniors. Greely MSAD#51 students have teamed up with AIP to provide shoveling for seniors in Cumberland who have preregistered for the service. SORRY, BUT ALL OUR MSAD#51 SHOVELING VOLUNTEERS HAVE BEEN ASSIGNED THIS WINTER (2017-2018). HOWEVER, Boy Scout Troop 58 has volunteered to help as well, so there are a few spots left.

Please note that we cannot offer immediate service. Our volunteer shovelers have committed to respond within 48 hours after a storm if possible. Volunteers will shovel walkways and clear access to residents’ homes. They do not shovel driveways, clear roofs, or perform other potentially dangerous snow-removal jobs.
