Program’s mission: To ensure that older residents of Cumberland can remain independent and living in their own homes as long as possible.

Specific tasks volunteer(s) will perform: Writing and submitting calendar listings and  press releases of Aging in Place events to various news media via the Internet.

Qualities, experience, and skills needed by volunteers: Excellent computer skills, communications skills, organizational skills.

Location where volunteer(s) will work: This job can be done at town hall or from home or anywhere connected to the Internet.

When will volunteer(s) work? Volunteer can set own schedule; listings updated weekly or every other week.

Length of commitment expected of volunteer: 1 year period.

Assignment is X_ongoing or __ short-term

Benefits or considerations offered volunteer. Satisfaction of helping provide entertaining  and worthwhile events for Cumberland’s older residents through participation in the Aging in Place initiative.

Location, time, date of volunteer training/orientation: As soon as possible at the convenience of volunteer and communications committee.

Who will provide the training? Communications committee, AIP coordinator

How long will it take? 1–2 hours and additional one-on-one training if necessary

Who will be responsible for volunteer time sheets? Volunteer coordinator (TBD)
